Two Men Charged Over North Belfast Attack

Two men have been charged in connection with an assault in north Belfast.

The incident, which happened on Sunday, left a man in a critical condition in hospital.

On Sunday, four men were attacked on the Antrim Road and a 24-year-old suffered serious head injuries. The other three men did not need hospital treatment.

Police have now said that two men – aged 23 and 31 – are due to appear at Belfast Magistrate's Court today (Tuesday) in connection with the incident.

The 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder, assault, possession and intent to supply drugs and cultivating cannabis. The 31-year-old has been charged with assault occasioning actually bodily harm, possession and intent to supply drugs and cultivating cannabis.

Four Men Charged Over South Belfast Assault
Four men have been charged following the serious assault of a man in south Belfast. It is believed the man in his early 40s was assaulted in the Donegall Avenue area at 3.00am on Monday. The man’s condition is said to be serious but not life-threatening and detectives at Musgrave Street are appealing for witnesses.

Guns stolen in Co Antrim assault
Police are appealing for information after a gang assaulted a man and stole his guns in Co Antrim. The masked men forced their way into the man's home in Burnbrae in Bushmills at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning. They hit the man before tying his hands behind his back and escaping with three guns.
