Shot Fired At North Belfast Home

Detectives are appealing for information after a shot was fired at a home in north Belfast.

The incident happened at a property in the Glenbryn Gardens area of the city at around 1.15am on Thursday (27 February).

A shot is understood to have been fired through the front window of the house and a man, aged 34, sustained a minor cut to his arm from flying glass. A 32-year-old woman and two children were also in the property at the time, but were not injured.

In a statement, police said it is believed that the man who fired the shot made off in a blue coloured car in the direction of Ardoyne Road.

Eastern Airways Saves Belfast-Southampton Route
Flights from Belfast City Airport to Southampton have been saved by Eastern Airways. The airline stepped in to fulfil the busy route after announcing on Monday that it was creating a six-times weekly Belfast to Teeside International Airport flight. The daily Southampton flights are now available for booking and will begin on Monday 23 March.
