Man Robbed At Knifepoint In L'Derry
A man has been robbed at knifepoint in L'Derry by two male attackers.
The incident occurred in an alleyway adjacent to Limewood Street after 19:00 on Tuesday evening. A small amount of cash was stolen.
Police said one attacker was wearing a light blue hooded top and the other a navy body warmer and blue jeans. Both appeared to have dark stubble.
They made off towards Beechwood Street.
Tyrone Haulier In Court Over Confiscation Order
A County Tyrone Haulier has appeared at Antrim Crown Court in relation to a £82,800 Confiscation Order resulting from a conviction on 14 June 2013 for fraud.
Paul Arnold, 46, of Holmview Heights, Newtownstewart, has been allowed six months to pay the money or face two years' imprisonment.
The confiscation related to a joint investigation by the Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) and PSNI into vehicles operated by Arnold Transport & Sons in Newtownstewart, County Tyrone.
On 20 August 2011, the DVA and PSNI Road Policing Unit conducted a joint enforcement operation that included the examination of vehicles owned by Arnold Transport & Sons Ltd. A number were seized on grounds that tachograph (speedometer) interrupter devices had been installed that had the capability of disabling the tachograph and speed limiter if activated.
Women Fined Over Benefit Fraud
Two women have been convicted at Belfast Magistrates' Court for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
52-year-old June Sherman of Derrycoole Way, Newtownabbey, claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £2,544 while failing to declare employment. She was fined £400 and ordered to pay court costs of £34.
31-year-old Carla McFadden of Deerpark Mews, Belfast, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £2,312 while failing to declare employment. She was fined £400 and ordered to pay court costs of £34.
Both are also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

He was fined £500 and ordered to pay court costs of £34.

He has been sentenced to 100 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs of £34.
