Man Arrested Over PSNI Mortar Attack

Police have arrested a man in connection with a mortar bomb attack on a PSNI vehicle in west Belfast last month.

Officers were attacked in the Falls Road area near Belfast City Cemetery on Friday 14 March by dissident republicans.

No-one was injured during the attack, but a family with young children driving in the area at the time was caught in the blast.

A group calling itself 'the IRA' later claimed responsibility.

A 44-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident in west Belfast on Monday.

He has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

Police have launched an investigation after a delivery driver was threatened at knifepoint in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Ardcaoin area of Poleglass at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, 18 July. The suspects threatened the pizza delivery driver, assaulted him, stole a sum of cash and made off.

Man Shot In The Legs In North Belfast
A man has been shot in the legs in north Belfast. The paramilitary-style attack happened in the Jamaica Street area on Sunday, 25 June. The man was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Anne O'Neill
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Anne ONeill. The 51-year-old victim died from her injuries following an incident at a house in the Ardmore Avenue area in Finaghy on Saturday, 21 October. The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 25 October.
