Underwater Tech Firm Creates 50 New Jobs

Kildare-based Cathx Ocean, which makes underwater technology, is to create 50 new jobs in Ireland, adding to its current 30 employees.

The news comes after the company won a contract to supply technology to US underwater vehicle manufacturer, Bluefin Robotics.

News of the jobs was welcomed by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton, who is on a trade mission in Texas, to coincide with the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston. A number of Irish companies are at the conference, including Cathx Ocean.
