Lakeland Youth Centre For £1.3m New Build
County Fermanagh's only youth centre is to receive a new build at an estimated cost of £1.3m.
Lakeland Youth Centre in Enniskillen was purchased by the Western Education and Library Board in 1993. Proposed works include the demolition of the existing youth centre at Wellington Road, Enniskillen and the construction of a new purpose built facility on the existing site.
Two Convicted Of Benefit Fraud
Two men have been convicted at Belfast Magistrates' Court today for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
David McGrath, 52, of Ards Drive, Newtownabbey claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £8,551 while failing to declare employment. He was given 120 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs of £40.
54-year-old Kenneth Hamilton of Coolfin Street, Belfast claimed Jobseekers Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance and Incapacity Benefit totalling £5,589 while failing to declare employment. He was given 120 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs of £104.
Men Fined Over Fisheries Offences
Two men have been fined for fisheries offences at Craigavon Magistrates' Court today.
Nicholas Harper of Ashfield Manor, Portadown, County Armagh, was found guilty of possession of unlawfully captured fish and also taking of coarse fish in excess of four in a given day.
Mr Harper was fined a total of £175 with costs of £100, court costs of £19 and an offender levy of £15. The offences occurred on the River Bann at Portadown.
At the same court, Thomas Gates of Woodview Park, Tandragee, was found guilty of unlicenced angling at Newry Canal where it meets the River Bann.
He was fined £120 with costs of £100, court costs of £19 and an offender levy of £15.
Man Bitten In Chest During Attack
A man has been bitten in the chest following an attack by a gang in L'Derry.
The attack happened on Sunday night at around 22:00 as the man was walking down Westland Street. He was approached by a group of men who punched and kicked him.
He was given medical treatment for cuts to his head and face and a bite mark to his chest.

Proposed Court Fee Increases Aim To Boost NICTS Funding
The Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service (NICTS) is proposing changes to court fees as part of its funding model. NICTS aims for civil and family court services to be primarily funded by the fees charged to users, with a target of full cost recovery. However, the current recovery rate is below 80%.

£22,096 Benefit Fraudsters Convicted
Three benefit fraudsters have been convicted of claiming a total of £22,096 they were not entitled to. All three will have to repay the sums to the Social Security Agency. The biggest sum claimed was by a County Down man.

Two people have been convicted at Londonderry Magistrates’ Court for claiming benefits they were not entitled to. 28-year-old Heather Wray of Tranarossan Avenue, L'Derry, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £4,283 while failing to declare employment.
