Three Arrested Over Dungannon Robbery

Three people have been arrested by detectives investigating a robbery at a shop in Dungannon, County Tyrone.

The arrest follows an incident at a shop in the Brackaville Road area on Wednesday at about 15:30, when two men entered the premises, one armed with a hammer and a crowbar, and stole a sum of cash.

The robbers then fled in a black Toyota MR2, which was driven by a third man. Staff were not injured in the incident.

Some time later, on the Dungannon Road in Cookstown, a 28-year-old man was arrested by police on suspicion of robbery.

Later, two other men, aged 32 and 40, were arrested on the Annahavil Road in Dungannon following reports of an attempted hijacking of a passing car.

All three remain in police custody in Dungannon helping police with their enquiries.

The PSNI has appealed for anyone who has any information to call the non-emergency number 101.

Police are also keen to hear from anyone who noticed a black Toyota MR2 with registration number G657 TBD in the Dungannon area since Friday.

An investigation has launched after a fire in Dungannon left a car "completely gutted". Police received a report of a fire in the Old English Road shortly before 11pm on Tuesday, 13 April. The PSNI attended the scene and are working to establish the cause of the fire. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

One Killed In Serious Motorway Crash
One person has died and another seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on the M1 near Dungannon, County Tyrone. The crash, between a car and a lorry, happened just after 5pm on Monday. The motorway was closed in both directions, however it has now re-opened. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Hundreds of jobs are to be lost in Northern Ireland as a retailer closes the doors of 19 stores across the country. The clothing retailer, Peacocks, has said that the closures will lead to more than 250 job losses in total.

Man Charged With Fermanagh Murder
A 28-year-old man has been charged with the murder of County Fermanagh woman Pauline Kilkenny. The victim, 59, was found dead by her sister at her home on the Cornacully Road between Belcoo and Garrison on Tuesday 13 November. The accused will appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court today, Friday 16.

Drink Driver Arrested In Dungannon
Police have once again hit out at those who get behind the wheel after drinking after footage emerged of an incident in County Tyrone. The video posted on Thursday shows a blue Volkswagen Golf driving on the Granville Road in Dungannon, swerving across the road and coming close to colliding with other motorists.
