Drugs duo appear before court

Two people were expected to appear in Coleraine Magistrates Court today charged with possession of, and the intent to supply, Class B drugs.

It follows the discovery of £350,000 worth of cannabis resin by police in Antrim at the weekend.

A man and woman, both aged 30, were arrested following the raid of a house at Firmount Drive.

Two other people were arrested then released, pending a written report.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Five to appear in court in connecton with Bangor robbery
Five youths are to appear in Downpatrick Magistrates Court today charged in connection with the robbery of an off-licence in Bangor on Tuesday night. Two youths, who entered the premises on the Rathgael Road, assaulted two female members of staff before making off with a sum of money and alcohol.
