Police Return To Fatal Crash Site

Crash investigators for the PSNI have returned to the scene of a fatal road accident that occurred earlier this year.

They are carrying out a reconstruction of the collision. A motorcyclist, 36, was killed in the crash between his Yamaha R1 vehicle and a white BMW 3 series car, which happened shortly after 2pm on Tuesday 3 June.

Police have said the Deerpark Road in Portaferry will close for a time today to allow a reconstruction of the accident to take place.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to contact police on 101.

Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.

Woman Dies In Co Down Road Crash
A woman has died in a three vehicle crash in Co Down. The crash happened on the Belfast Road in Saintfield just before 6pm on Thursday, 06 July. A man is in a stable condition in hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Police Issue Fresh Appeal For Witnesses To Banbridge Shooting
A man shot in the abdomen in a Banbridge car park on Friday, 12 April, remains in a critical condition in hospital. The man, aged in his 40s, was shot as he sat in a car by a masked man. Detectives investigating a shooting in the Rathfriland Road area returned to the scene on the evening of Friday, 19 April.

Two People Killed In Offaly Plane Crash Named
Two people killed in a plane crash in Co Offaly have been named as pilot Niall Bowditch and seven year old Kacper Kacprzak. Mr Bowditch was believed to be in his 40s, and from Staffordshire, England. It is thought Kacper was the son of a Polish national living in Dublin. The plane took off from Clonbullogue Airfield on Sunday, 13 May.
