Loaded Gun Found In West Belfast

A loaded gun has been found in an underground car park in west Belfast.

Police at Woodbourne were handed the gun by a member of the public after it was discovered at the North Howard Street car park on Thursday morning.

An army bomb team was called and examined the gun and made it safe.

Police have launched an investigation and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Has Car Stolen At Gunpoint In Co Antrim
A man has had his car stolen at gunpoint as he was taking photographs in Co Antrim. A masked man approached the victim in a car park in Glenarm at around 10.35am on Sunday, 23 July. He demanded the man to hand over his car keys and made off in a red Ford Fiesta on New Road.

Man Arrested Following Drugs And Stun Gun Find In East Belfast
A man has been arrested after an estimated £4,500 drugs and stun gun find in east Belfast. The suspected cocaine was seized by officers from the local Titanic and East Belfast Neighbourhood Team during a planned search of a property in Bryson street. The 22-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with a number of drugs and weapons offences.

Masked Men Attempt To Rob Cash-In-Transit Van In Lisburn
A gang of masked men, one armed with a gun, attempted to rob a cash-in-transit van in Lisburn. The incident happened at a car park in the Knockmore Road area at around 6am on Thursday, 15 June. The group of men demanded cash, however they made off empty handed.
