Greyhound Workers Reject Proposals To End Lockout

SIPTU members at Greyhound Recovery and Recycling have rejected proposals in the long running dispute at the company which emerged from the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) last week.

By a significant majority the workers who have been locked out of the company depots in west Dublin since mid-June rejected an offer which included substantial pay cuts and redundancy terms.

SIPTU Divisional Organiser, Owen Reidy, said that the proposals were rejected by a 3 to 1 ratio after a general meeting of workers discussed the details of proposed redundancy terms and pay cuts.
