£355k Road Improvements For L'Derry Announced
Transport Minister Danny Kennedy has announced £355,000 road improvement works for L'Derry.
Work is due to start on the Buncrana Road from Branch Roundabout to Skeoge Roundabout on Saturday 20 September 2014. The main resurfacing will then take place between 27 September and 28 September 2014. The scheme is expected to be substantially completed by 28 September 2014.
In order to minimise disruption to traffic the majority of the work will be undertaken between 9.30am to 4pm. For particular operations it will be necessary to close certain lanes of the carriageway.
The road will be closed on Saturday 20 September from 06:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday 21 September from 05:00 to 17:00.
For the final surfacing works the road will be close on Saturday 27 September from 06:00 to 18:00 and on Sunday 28 from 05:00 to 17:00.
A diversionary route via A515 Skeoge Link, B521 Glengalliagh Road, B522 Templemore Road and vice versa will be signposted.
