'Suspicious' Death In West Belfast - Victim Named

A man who died at a flat in west Belfast under what police have named "suspicious circumstances" has been named as Sean Corrigan.

Detectives from PSNI Serious Crime Branch are appealing for information following the death of the 31-year-old at a flat in the St Mary's Gardens area on Saturday 13 September.

Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway said: "The post mortem results indicate that Sean Corrigan may have died in suspicious circumstances so I am keen to establish his last movements and the circumstances leading up to his death.

"We are carrying out a full investigation into his death and I am seeking the assistance of the public to help us with our enquiries. I would specifically like to hear from anyone who was in the St Mary's Gardens area between 01:00 and lunchtime on Saturday 13 September and who may have seen Sean or have any information which may assist us with our investigation."

The PSNI has released a picture of Mr Corrigan, which is available to view on the PSNI website.

Investigation Launch After Sudden Death Of Child In L'Derry
Police have launched an investigation following the sudden death of a child in Co L'Derry. The death was reported just after 10am on Sunday, 17 September. The body was found in the Bogside area. A post mortem is to take place to determine the cause of death. No further detail have been released.
