Security Alert In Co Armagh

Police have confirmed a security operation is currently underway in south Armagh.

The alert has closed Concession Road from Cullaville to the border, in the direction of Dundalk, Co Louth.

In a statement, the PSNI said motorists in the area are advised to seek an alternative main route for the journey.

No further details are available.

Man Assaulted In East Belfast
A man has been assaulted by three men in east Belfast. The attack happened in the Paxton Street area last Friday, 26 November. The men made off with his wallet which contained a sum of cash. Fresh Inquest Into Death Of Leo Norney To Be Heard In April
A fresh inquest into the death of 17-year-old Leo Norney in west Belfast in 1975 has been listed for hearing next April. Leo was shot by the Army in disputed circumstances in the Turf Lodge area in September 1975. Soldiers from the Black Watch regiment said the teenager was a gunman who had opened fire on them.

Spate Of Overnight Burglaries In Newtownabbey
Police have launched an investigation after a number of house in the Newtownabbey area were broken into overnight. Detectives have issued an appeal for information after homes on St.Anne's Crescent, Carnvue Gardens, Carnvue Road areas were entered sometime between midnight and 7.30am today, Monday 29 November.

New Community Park and Sports Zone Opens In Belfast
A new Community Park and Sports Zone has officially opened in Belfast by Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey. The new facilities have been completed has transformed an area known locally as the Back Path into a "more welcoming and safer space".
