Man With Machete Robs Bank Customer

A man has robbed a customer at an Ulster Bank on the Shankill Road in Belfast while wielding a machete.

The man approached the customer at the north Belfast bank at about 09:40 on Monday morning.

The attacker is described as being around 5'9" tall and of stocky build. It is reported that he threatened the customer with a machete before making off with a sum of cash.

The attacker fled in a silver coloured car, which was seen heading toward the city. It was later discovered abandoned in the Divis area of lower Falls and has been recovered by the police. The victim was not injured but was left shaken by the incident.
