£1.6m business park to create over 100 jobs
Larne Enterprise Development Company (LEDCOM) has announced plans to build a new £1.65m business park at Millbrook on the outskirts of Larne.
Known as Willowbank Business Park, the new 35,000 sq ft project has the potential to help create an additional 100 to 150 jobs over the next five years.
The company plans to primarily target export orientated and technology based companies through new business start-ups, growth businesses and inward investment projects.
LEDCOM is the local enterprise agency (LEA) for the Borough of Larne and the company, one of the first LEAs to be established, has been operating for 18 years.
The LEDCOM Industrial Estate, in the centre of Larne, comprises 60,000 sq ft of workspace occupied by 30 tenant companies and organisation's providing around 500 jobs and training places.

Stevenson's has announced their food processing plant in Cullybackey is to close. It is understood that up to 100 jobs will be lost. 1,000 jobs to be created in Belfast
Around 1,000 jobs are to be created in Belfast, it has been announced. Indian company, ICICI OneSource, one of the country's largest business processing outsourcing (BPO) firms, is to open a call centre in the city, creating over 1,000 jobs over the next two-years.
