Police Investigate Glengormley Car Theft Spate

Police are investigating a spate of vehicle thefts that occurred on the same day in the Glengormley area of County Antrim.

On Saturday, two cars and a motorbike were stolen, while another three vehicles were broken into and had items taken.

The first incident involved a white Citroen AX Jive, which was reported at 06:00 as having been stolen from a house in the Colinbridge Drive area.

The car was later found by police in west Belfast.

Then a short time later, police were called to an incident in the Mayfield area after the door of a Vauxhall Corsa was broken and a set of keys stolen. The keys were later recovered for forensic examination.

A blue Renault Megane was also stolen from the Hollybrook Heights area.

Later the same morning, a white Seat Leon was broken into in the Blackrock area. A pair of designer sunglasses were stolen.

A resident in the same area reported that a BMW X5 had been broken into and a laptop was stolen.

The at midday, another resident in the Colinbrook Drive area reported his motorbike had been stolen; a modified black Honda NTV 650 with twin chrome exhausts and the registration L21FAN.

Police Appeal Following Number Of Incidents In Carrickfergus
