Three Detained In Dissident Probe

Three men have been arrested by the PSNI in connection with dissident republican activity.

The men, aged 24, 25 and 43, were arrested in the cityside and waterside areas of L'Derry on Thursday.

They have been taken to Antrim Police Station for questioning.

No further action is to be taken against Sinn Féin's Gerry Kelly following an alleged breach of the NI Policing Board's Code of Conduct. Unionist ministers had called for action against the MLA and Policing Board member after it was claimed he had posted to Twitter "glorifying" an event in which a prison officer died.

Two Men Arrested Over Peggy O'Hara Funeral Released
Two men arrested in connection with dissident republican activity in relation to a number of offences at the wake and funeral of Peggy O'Hara in July have been released. The men, aged 53 and 34, were detained in Strabane on Tuesday by detectives from the Serious Crime Branch.

Three Men Arrested Over Dissident Terrorist Activity
Three men have been arrested in Lurgan over dissident terrorist activity. The men are aged 47, 42 and 41. Police are conducting searches on three houses in the area and a number of items have been taken for forensic examination.

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
