FM And DFM To Attend Downing Street Meeting

The First Minister and Deputy First Minister are to attend talks at Downing Street today.

Mr Peter Robinson and Mr Martin McGuinness will join Scottish and Welsh leaders for a meeting of the Joint Ministerial Committee. It follows a visit to Northern Ireland by the Prime Minister on Thursday last week.

It is understood that today's meeting was arranged before Stormont rejected a new financial package proposed by Mr Cameron.

The issue of Northern Ireland and the rejected financial package are not said to be on today's official agenda, but reports suggest the issues will be raised.
