£290k Investment For L'Derry City Centre
More than £290,000 is to be invested at Strand Road in L'Derry.
The investment, totalling £292,307, will see an upgrade of Public Realm works carried out at Sackville Street and Great James Street in the area. The work will involve the installation of high quality granite paving, as well as new and improved street and feature lighting. New granite benches will also be installed alongside bins and planters, while the carriageway is to be resurfaced.
Work at Strand Road is scheduled to start on 7 January, 2015, with the project due to be completed by the end of March.
Masked Men Rob Shop In North Belfast
Police have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a shop in north Belfast.
Shortly after 8pm on Saturday (3 January), three masked men entered a premises on the Ballysillan Road. The men were carrying suspected firearms. They threatened staff and escaped the scene with cash and cigarettes.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Two of the men have been described as being in their late 20s and were wearing hooded tops.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Elderly Woman's Home Burgled
An elderly woman's home has been burgled in the Causeway End Park area of Lisburn.
The woman is understood to have been walking her dog in the early hours of Saturday morning. She was returning home at around 1am when she saw two men running from the back of the property.
The victim found her home had been broken into and a number of items of jewellery had been stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Police Appeal After Man Attacked In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The assault happened in the North Road area at around 3.30am on Sunday, 29 January. A gang of four or five men attacked the victim, aged 37. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as "serious".

Three Arrested After Man's Body Discovered In Co Antrim
Three people have been arrested in connection with a man's death in Co Antrim. The body of an elderly man was discovered at a house in the Station Road area in Greenisland at around 9.30pm on Monday. A post-mortem is to be carried out and the police have launched an investigation.
