Co Antrim's Ramada Hotel Sold

The Ramada Hotel in Portrush, Co Antrim, has been sold.

According to reports, the premises was sold for more than its asking price of £2.75m. The buyer was City of Derry Hotel Ltd.

The hotel, which is located on Main Street in the town, consists of 69 en-suite bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, conference/banqueting rooms and car parking.

Commenting on the purchase, Chairman of City of Derry Hotels Ltd, Brendan Duddy, is quoted in the media as saying: "There is no no doubt that NI is in the midst of very exciting times in terms of tourism. We have seen a notable uptake of space in the North West region, which gave us the confidence to invest in the Ramada, Portrush.

"We pride ourselves on our reputation to invest in and deliver excellent hotel accommodation and our intention is to roll out an investment programme to enhance the existing Ramada hotel complex."
