Blizzard Conditions To Remain
Residents in Northern Ireland have been warned to expect further blizzard conditions this weekend.
A 'yellow' alert warning for snow and ice was in place in the region until 11am on Friday (30 January), but the Met Office has said that further snow showers should be expected over the weekend. In some areas, large accumulations of snow has been predicted.
The weather warning is in place from noon on Saturday and will last until 11.30pm. A new alert for snow will then commence on Sunday and remain in place until Monday evening. The weather is expected to create difficult driving conditions and motorists are advised to take additional care on the roads.
Temperatures are also expected to remain low for the next number of days.

Yellow Weather Warning For Snow And Ice Issued Across NI
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been put in place across Northern Ireland. The Met Office weather warning is in place until 23.59pm, and a yellow warning for ice with then come into place at midnight until 10am on Friday, 19 January.

'Plan Ahead' For St Patrick's Day Events This Weekend
Belfast City Council has outlined traffic and travel arrangements ahead of this Sunday's St Patrick's Day event in Belfast. A number of traffic diversions will be in place in and around Belfast city centre. Visitors and participants are advised to plan their journey in advance and leave extra time to travel to and from the city centre.
