Man Arrested Over £20k Drugs Find
Police in L'Derry have arrested a 29-year-old man after drugs were seized with a value of about £20k.
The discovery was made in a flat in the Foyle Road area on Monday night. Class A, B and C drugs were seized and the 29-year-old man was arrested.
He remains in police custody.
Teen Injured In 'Altercation'
A teenager has been taken to hospital with injuries after he was involved in an "altercation" in Dunmurry.
The 15-year-old was injured at about 16:00 on Monday night in the Rowan Drive area.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested.
Police have asked any witnesses to come forward.
197 Homes Proposed For L'Derry
197 new homes are to be constructed in L'Derry.
The proposal is for social housing units with landscaping and associated site works, on lands at Galliagh, south of Skeoge Link Road and adjacent to the Lower Galliagh Road.
The mix of housing types includes one and two bedroom apartments, and two, three and four bedroom housing.
Environment Minister Mark H Durkan said: "I am confident Derry City Council will give their backing for this much needed boost to social housing in this area. It will provide a varied mix of housing units to cater for all the future residents including a house for people with complex needs. There is a real boost to the local economy as well, ensuring much needed construction jobs in these hard economic times."
Men Fined Over Fisheries Offences
Two men have been fined for fisheries offences at Downpatrick Magistrates’ Court.
Kamil Rzepkowski, from Ashley Courtyard in Belfast, was convicted of unlicensed angling and unauthorised entry on a fishery. He was fined a total of £60 with costs of £75, court costs of £19 and an offender levy of £15.
At the same court, Kamil Rychlowski, who is also from Ashley Courtyard in Belfast, was convicted of unauthorised entry on a fishery. He was fined £40 with costs of £75, court costs of £19 and an offender levy of £15.
The incidents took place at the Quoile River.

Crumlin Social Housing Scheme Opened
A new social housing scheme of three and four bedroom houses has been officially opened in Crumlin. The fourteen new homes for families on the social housing waiting list, is owned and managed by Habinteg Housing Association who funded the build, with support from the Department for Social Development.

Major New Housing Development Scheme In Strabane
Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey has announced that her department has awarded an £11.7 million Housing Association Grant towards a new £22 million social housing scheme in Strabane. The development will provide 150 social homes as well as retail opportunities within the site and a children's playpark.
