Teen Charged Over Assault

A 17-year-old boy has been charged after an altercation in which a 15-year-old boy was injured in Dunmurry.

The victim was injured in the Rowan Drive area at about 16:00 on Monday.

He was taken to hospital with injuries to his arm and side and the 17-year-old was arrested.

The boy has been been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and three counts of assault on police.

Man Charged Over £20k Drugs Discovery

Police have charged a man in connection with the discovery of £20,000 of illegal drugs in L'Derry.

The 29-year-old has been charged with 10 offences, including being concerned in the supply of a class A, B and C controlled drug and possessing a class A, B and C controlled drug with intent to supply.

Homes Evacuated, Newtownabbey

Homes have been evacuated in Netwonabbey, County Antrim, after a suspicious object was discovered.

Police are attending the scene of Wednesday morning's alert, which occurred in the Ashford Lodge area.

Presbyterian Moderator Elected

A minister from Ballymoney in County Antrim has been elected as the new Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

64-year-old Reverend Ian McNie is Minister of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

He was nominated by 12 out of the 19 presbyteries on Tuesday evening.

Funeral Held For 8-Year-Old Adam Gilmour
The funeral has taken place of 8-year-old Adam Gilmour, who died when his family was hit by a car as they walked to get on a school bus. Adam, "died instantly" when he, his mother and five of his siblings were hit by a car near Cloughmills last Tuesday.

Four Charged With Drugs Offences
Four people have been charged with class A drugs offences following arrests made on Friday (30 August). Two men, aged 54 and 20, and a 42-year-old woman who are all from Liverpool, and a 35-year-old man from Antrim have been charged with the possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Politicians condemn attack on congregation
Politicians and community representatives have condemned an attack on an open-air service of the Free Presbyterian Church in Randalstown on Sunday. The attack on members of the church, which included a disabled man, women and children, occurred shortly after 8.30pm at Moore's Entry in the town.

Man Jailed For Drugs Offences
A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.

Third Teen Arrested Over Girl's Death
A third teenager has been arrested following the sudden death of a 15-year-old girl in Portadown. Caitlin White died in hospital after she fell unconscious in the Corcrain area on Saturday, 20 May. A 15-year-old boy was detained on Tuesday, 23 May.
