Lisburn Security Alert 'A Hoax'

Police have confirmed an earlier security alert in Lisburn, County Antrim, was a hoax.

An alert began on Tuesday morning when police received a report that a device may have been left in the Flowbog Road area.

Flowbog Road, Hannahstown Road and Rusheyhill Road were all closed while police checked the area.

All routes have since re-opened.

There are no further details at present.

Two Men Arrested In Connection With Omagh Security Alert
Two men, aged 56 and 29, have been arrested in connection with a security alert in Omagh on Saturday 06 May. At around 10pm on Saturday, three masked men hijacked a silver-coloured Volkswagen Golf in the Fireagh Road area, off the Dromore Road in Omagh.

'Small Bomb' Found During Security Alert
Army bomb experts have been called to examine an explosive device found at an apartment block in east Belfast. Police said that a number of residents were evacuated from the apartments in the Short Strand Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. They described the device as a "small bomb". No further details have been released.
