Man Shot In Both Knees In West Belfast

An investigation has been launched after a man was found on the outskirts of west Belfast suffering gunshot wounds to both knees.

Police said the victim was found at about 20:40 on Wednesday night on Glasvey Gardens in Twinbrook.

He is being treated at Royal Victoria Hospital. His condition is unknown.

Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to contact police.

Police launch murder inquiry after body found in west Belfast
The police have begun a murder investigation after a man's body was found in west Belfast. The body of the man, named as David McDowell (34) from Battenburg Street, was discovered on a footpath at the junction of Lanark Way and the Shankill Road at about 4.30am on Thursday.

Joe Reilly Murder: Man Arrested
A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Joe Reilly. Mr Reilly, 43, was shot at his home in the Glenwood Court area of Poleglass, west Belfast, on 20 October. The suspect was arrested on Monday, 19 December, and has been taken to Musgrave Police station to be questioned.

Police Appeal After 'Shot Fired' In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after reports of a shot being fired in north Belfast. No-one is believed to have been injured in the incident in the Farringdon Court area on Thursday. Police are keen to establish what happened and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
