More Than 400 New Jobs Announced By Kainos

More than 400 new jobs are to be created by Belfast-based IT firm Kainos.

The company has announced that 403 new jobs will be created as part of a "major expansion".

A number of the new roles are understood to be based in L'Derry.

The company, which was founded some 30 years ago, currently employs more than 700 people in Northern Ireland, the UK and Poland.

More than 300 new jobs are to be created by Convergys Corporation in Londonderry, Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced. The American corporation will create 333 new jobs when it establishes a new customer services centre in Derry in collaboration with EE, the mobile phone network.

Tesco Staff Praised As Scam Foiled
The PSNI has praised members of staff at a Tesco store in County Down after they prevented a man from falling victim to a scam. The situation arose when an unsuspecting man visited the Castlebawn store in Newtownards to purchase Amazon vouchers after being convinced by an online fraudster that he was a friend.
