Serious Road Crash In L'Derry

A serious road crash has occurred on the Chapel Road in L'Derry.

A car and a motorbike where involved in the incident, according to the police.

One man, believed to be a teenager, has been taken to hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious.

A 27-year-old woman has died after she sustained serious injuries in a car crash in county Antrim earlier this month. The one-vehicle collision occurred on the Glenravel Road area in Cargan on 11 September. The woman was the driver of a white Hyundai car. She died in hospital on Wednesday night, according to the police.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Road death figures are lowest in 50 years
Figures released today by the Department of the Environment have revealed that road deaths in Northern Ireland last year were at the lowest level in 50 years. The total number of road deaths in 2005 totalled 136, the lowest number since 1952 when 133 people lost their lives at at time when there was one eighth of the number of vehicles on the road.

A serious road traffic crash has occurred in County Down. Two vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision which happened on the Killyleagh Road near Saintfield on Wednesday. Boy killed in County Down road crash
A 16-year-old schoolboy has been killed in a road crash on the coast road between Ballyhalbert and Portavogie. The crash, which is understood to have involved only one vehicle, occured at around 10.00am. Four people were injured in the crash.

Two Arrested Over West Belfast Stabbing
Two men have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a man in west Belfast. The suspects, aged 17 and 26, are being questioned by police at Musgrave Street police station. The victim, aged 18, was stabbed in the Cullingtree Road area on Sunday, 01 November. He is currently in a serious condition in hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses of a serious road accident in Maghera, Co L'Derry, on Sunday night. Teenager remanded over stabbing
A teenager has been remanded in custody in connection with a stabbing in the Stewartstown Road area of West Belfast. A 16-year-old was hospitalised after an altercation in which he received serious injuries. His condition is now thought to be stable.
