Police Appeal For Witnesses After Man Attacked In North Belfast

Police have appealed for information after a man was found with a serious head injury in the Premier Drive area of north Belfast at the weekend.

The 53-year-old man was found at about 02.30 on Saturday morning. The victim remains in hospital.

Detective Sergeant Melanie McGrory said: "We have established the man's identity but it is not yet known how he sustained his injuries.

"We believe the man left a bar in the Shore Road area at about 1.20am and we are keen to trace his movements prior to being found in Premier Drive around an hour later."

The man is described as having dark hair, a heavy build and was wearing dark trousers and a dark top,

Anyone who may have seen the man or witnessed an incident is asked to contact police on 101, or by contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Man Found Dead In Bangor
Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man in Bangor. The 68 year-old male was found dead at his home in Birch Drive. His death is being treated as suspicious. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Conor McKee
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Conor McKee. Mr McKee was found dead at his home in Glenpark Street in north Belfast on Thursday, 07 January. He had been shot a number of times. The suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast.
