Oldham Manager Receives Death Threats

Oldham manager Darren Kelly has received a death threat, the football club have confirmed.

The Northern Ireland man was appointed as the Latics manager week.

Supporters are not happy after he appeared to praise First Minister Martin McGuiness as a "legend" on Twitter.

In a statement the club said: "Oldham Athletic AFC are aware of threats made against individuals connected with the club.

"These matters have been passed to the police and the club will be making no further comments on this subject."

Paddy Jackson And Stuart Olding Could Play For Ireland In The Future
Former Ulster players Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding may play for Ireland in the future, the IRFU performance director David Nucifora has said. The players were found not guilty of rape at a trial earlier this year. However, their Ulster and Ireland contacts were revoked over Whatsapp and text messages that had been revealed in court.

Beach Tragedy Girl Laid To Rest
The funeral has taken place of an 11-year-old girl who died when she got into trouble in the sea at Portballintrae on Sunday. Bethany Cousins was rescued from the sea where she was swept away while bodyboarding, but the emergency services were unable to save her. She was taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine but sadly died on Sunday evening.
