Belfast Hosts Free Masterclasses For Businesses

Businesses can attend a number of free masterclasses taking place in the city to help them get 'super connected' and grow their business.

Belfast Met was commissioned by Belfast City Council to deliver the Super Connected Cities Business Growth initiative, part-funded by the council, Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Competiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.

The initiative runs in tandem with the council's 'Super Connected Voucher Scheme' that enables businesses to connect to a high speed, high grade broadband.

A number of masterclasses have been taking place in Belfast over the last few months to help SMEs embrace digital technology to open up new markets. They are open to businesses which have under 250 employees and want to maximise the benefits of their internet connection.

The masterclasses will continue in May and June focusing on the following areas:

• Digital Opportunities for your Business – on the importance of embracing digital technology to open up markets for local companies

• Smart Business Models – looking at how a 'smart' business is one which uses digital technology to change and improve the way it conducts itself

• Key to Success – providing companies with information on using online media, digital marketing and e-commerce to improve communication and grow their businesses online.
