Affero Lab To Create 40 New Jobs
Brazilian firm Affero Lab is to create 40 new jobs in Dublin.
The e-learning firm plans to set up its European Operations Centre in the city, which will focus on research and development.
In addition, the company will employ sales and support staff to support the company's clients in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
Martin Shanahan, CEO, IDA Ireland, said: "Ireland's e-learning cluster, particularly in the indigenous sector, is renowned for its innovation and high quality output and Affero Lab will add significantly to this cluster.
"I welcome the company's participation in the Learnovate Centre, an industry-led centre of excellence for innovation and research in learning technologies, funded by IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.
"Affero Lab is IDA Ireland's first client from Brazil and I hope that the investment will act as a strong reference point for IDA as we work to attract more investment from this growth market."

IDA Ireland Reports 13,367 New Jobs By Clients' Firms In 2013
IDA Ireland has reported the creation of 13,367 new jobs by client companies during 2013. When job losses are taken into account, the net increase in employment was 7,071, the highest level of job creation in over a decade. Total employment at IDA client companies now stands at 161,112 people, the highest level in the history of IDA Ireland.

Fine Gael Clare Senator Martin Conway has welcomed the announcement by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, that he is to publish legislation by the end of the year which will allow Enterprise Ireland and the IDA to carry out enterprise development functions in the Shannon Free Zone.

50 Tech Jobs For Limerick
Fifty 'high quality' technology jobs are to be created in Limerick by US firm DTS Inc, it has been revealed. The company produces surround-sound audio products. With support from IDA Ireland, DTS is planning to set up a European headquarters at the Limericks National Technology Park. Recruitment for the jobs is already underway.
