Man Arrested Over Fatal Road Crash Released On Bail

A man arrested in connection with a fatal road crash near L'Derry has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Two cousins, Aaron McDonald, 19, and Michael McDonald, 21, were killed in the collision on the Victoria Road between Newbuildings and Magheramason in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The 18-year-old driver of the car and a 16-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the car, have been discharged from hospital.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw a black Volkswagon Golf travelling from Strabane to L'Derry to contact them.
