Gang Smash Their Way Into House In Coleraine

A group of men smashed their way into a house in Coleraine in the early hours of Thursday night.

The attack happened at Loughanhill Park at around 1.20am.

The gang smashed the windows of the property before eventually forcing their way in.

Some damage was caused to the internal living room door before the men made off.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. He remains in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector James Mullen said: "At this time we believe as many as five males were involved in this attack and we are keen to hear from witnesses. Detectives can be contacted at the offices of Ballymena Reactive and Organised Crime on 101."

Police officers injured in road smash
A man has been arrested following a road smash in east Belfast which has injured 10 police officers. The incident occurred outside a Primary School in the Knocknogoney Road area at around 8.30am. Witnesses say a car was being driven erratically outside the school before ramming two police vehicles.

Appeal For Information On Aggravated Burglary In Cookstown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of an aggravated burglary at the Queens Avenue area of Cookstown on Friday 3rd February. Shortly after 10pm, it was reported that four masked men entered a property in the area with one of the men armed with an iron bar and another man armed with a suspected firearm.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.
