Police Appeal Following Burglary In Newtownabbey
Police are appealing for information following a burglary in the Knockane Way area of Newtownabbey on Tuesday, 9 June.
The house was ransacked and a jewellery was stolen.
The incident occurred -between 1.45pm and 5pm.
Detective Inspector David Skelly said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information about this incident to contact Police at Newtownabbey on the non-emergency number 101."
2015/16 Road Safety Grant Scheme Launches
The 2015/16 Road Safety Grant Scheme has been launched.
Individuals and groups in the voluntary and community sector can apply for grants of up to £10,000 to develop and run road safety projects.
Environment Minister Mark H Durkan said: "We all share the road, so we should all share the responsibility. Community engagement plays a key part in making that happen. These grants seek to engage and empower individuals, communities and organisations to practise good road safety. If you have concerns about road safety and can deliver an innovative, community-led road safety project then DOE can provide financial support to help you achieve your goal."
To qualify, groups must be properly constituted, have a bank account and be able to complete the project by 4 March 2016.

New Development In L'Derry Complete
A new £1.2 million sports development has been completed in L'Derry.
The sports changing and community meeting space complex at Lowry's Lane
will allow residents of all age groups the opportunity to become actively involved in many sporting activities, was supported by the Department for Social Development with a contribution of £480, 115 towards the £1.2m project for Doire Colmcille CLG.
The new complex will also allow for the promotion of Gaelic games, culture awareness, dance, Irish language, health and well-being programmes, drugs and alcohol awareness sessions, gambling awareness and off the street initiatives.

The Strategy outlines ambitious targets for improving road safety by 2030 and the Department will work with partners to develop an action plan aimed at achieving these goals.
