Man Seriously Injured Following Attack In Belfast

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in a car park in Belfast.

The incident happened off Castle Street in Ballymoney on Sunday at around 1.30am.

A 25 year-old-man is currently being treated in hospital with a serious head injury.

A 22-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He is currently being detained by the police.

Detective Sergeant Chris Wilkinson said: "There were a large number of people in the area at the time and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone with any information that could assist the police investigation to contact Detectives at Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
