Puppy Stolen In West Belfast Burglary

A puppy has been stolen following a burglary in west Belfast.

The incident occurred in the St Meryl Park area between 11pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday.

A 15 week old beadle was stolen from the garage of the property.

Inspector Alan Swann said: "If anyone has any information on this burglary or the whereabouts of the dog, please contact police in Woodbourne on the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

The search, in the Dermott Hill Road area, was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected criminality linked to the INLA.

Murder Investigation Launches After Man Found In West Belfast
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man found in west Belfast. On Wednesday, 06 March, a man was found with serious injuries in the Cupar Street area just before 8pm. The man was treated at the scene by emergency services before being transferred to hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
