Three Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Kevin McGuigan

Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Kevin McGuigan.

Mr McGuigan, 53, was shot dead by two masked men outside his home in the Short Strand area just before 9pm on Wednesday 12 August.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital but died a short time later.

It is believed he was well known in republican circles.

The men, aged 53, 44 and 41 were arrested at various locations in the greater Belfast area on Tuesday morning.

All three have been taken to the Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

Suspected Firearm Recovered During PSNI Operation In Ardmore
The PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit (TIU) have recovered a suspected firearm in Ardmore in L'Derry. During a search in the Rushall Road area, the suspected firearm was located in the vicinity of a graveyard. Enquiries continue, and the suspected firearm will now be the subject of forensic testing.

A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with a serious stabbing incident in west Belfast in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, 10 April. Just after 2.45am, police received a report from our colleagues in northern Ireland Ambulance Service that a man had been stabbed in the St Bernadette's Avenue area.

Three men arrested in McGurk murder investigation
Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Danny McGurk at the weekend. Mr McGurk, 35, was shot dead outside his Ross Road home in the lower Falls area of west Belfast on Sunday. Mr McGurk's wife and some of his children were also at home when he was killed.

Man And Woman Jailed For 'Brutal And Senseless Attack'
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two people at Laganside Crown Court for a range of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, threats to kill, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon. 26-year-old Dylan Black, from the Lisburn area, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He will serve three years on license.

Four Released After Woman Injured In Co Tyrone
Four people have been released on bail pending further enquiries after a woman was injured in a house in Co Tyrone. Three men, aged 24, 25 and 34, and a woman, aged 29, were arrested following an incident in the Mourne Crescent area on Monday, 14 November. The injured woman is being treated in hospital.
