Man Arrested After Woman Dies In Co Armagh Collision

A man has been arrested after a woman was killed in a crash in Co Armagh.

The collision happened on the Newry Road just before 3.30am on Sunday.

The 25-year-old male is being detained by police on a number of motoring offences.

The road has been reopened.

Two Arrested In Pat McCormick Murder Probe
Police investigating the disappearance and murder of Pat McCormick have arrested two men on suspicion of murder. The suspects, aged 20 and 32, were arrested in Moneyreagh and Ballygowan respectively this morning, Friday 05 July. Police say land and water based searches are continuing in both areas, over five weeks since the 55-year-old disappeared.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Roads Closed In Craigavon Security Alert
Army bomb experts are examining a suspicious object at Monbrief Road East in Craigavon. A number of roads have been closed in County Armagh due to the security alert. The New Line in Craigavon is closed from the Tandragee Road junction to Glenavon Lane and the Monbrief Road East from Roundabout B to Drumgask Road is also closed.

Man Dies In Co Armagh Road Crash
A man in his 60s has died in a car collision in Poyntzpass, Co Armagh. The crash occurred on the Tannyoky Road at around 6.45pm on Wednesday. No other vehicle was involved in the collision. The road was closed overnight, however it reopened at 4.30am on Thursday. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police Officer Rescues Man From Water
A PSNI officer dived into the sea in Portrush to rescue a cliff diver who had got into difficulties in the water. Officers on the North Coast received a call of a man struggling in the water near Dunluce shortly after 6pm on Tuesday evening, 25 June.
