Fermanagh And Omagh Happiest Places In The UK
The happiest places in the UK are Fermanagh and Omagh, according to a survey by the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Bolsover in Derbyshire was found to be the least happy place in the UK, followed by Cannock Chase in Staffordshire.
Top 10 happy places in the UK:
• Fermanagh and Omagh, Northern Ireland
• Ribble Valley, Lancashire
• Eilean Siar, Western Isles
• West Somerset
• Orkney Islands
• Blaby, Leicestershire
• Allerdale, Cumbria
• Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon, Northern Ireland
• Mid- and East Antrim, Northern Ireland
• East Cambridgeshire
Finance Minister Arlene Foster MLA said: "I welcome that once again, Northern Ireland people have rated their personal wellbeing in terms of life satisfaction, happiness and that their life is worthwhile most highly out of all of the UK countries.
"People in Fermanagh and Omagh have the highest levels of life satisfaction and happiness, and people in Mid-Ulster report the highest level of feeling that the things they do are worthwhile."

Video system to replace ID parades
The PSNI, in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Office, have announced details of a new system to replace traditional ‘ID parades’. The system known as Video Identification Parade Electronic Recording (VIPER) will be part of a national database of volunteer images from which a video parade is compiled rather than using real people in a line up.

NI childcare gets £1.3m boost
The New Opportunities Fund today announced £1.3 million worth of lottery grants for a number of childcare projects across Northern Ireland. In the final announcement under the Out of School Hours Childcare grant programme, the National Lottery good cause distributor is awarding the grants to 16 innovative projects creating 1,344 childcare places.
