Woman's Hands Tied During Aggravated Burglary

Three masked men forced their way into a woman's home and tied her hands in the Castlereagh area in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at Grand Parade at around 12.30am.

The men bound the woman's hands and stole rings from her fingers. They also ransacked the property and stole credit cards.

Detective Inspector Mark McHaffie said: "The men made off with property in two supermarket carrier bags. The householder managed to get outside and a passing taxi driver stopped with her and called police.

"We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area late on Saturday or early on Sunday. Did you see three men dressed in black clothing approaching or entering the house? Did you see men with supermarket bags leaving the locality?

"If you have any information, please called the detectives at Musgrave on 101, or contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111."
