Man Arrested After Police Seize Drugs In Co Antrim

A 31-year-old man has been arrested after police seized drugs following five searches, worth an estimated street value of approximately £3,900, in Portrush, County Antrim, on Monday.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug.

A quantity of cash, mobile phones and some other items were also seized during the searches.

Detective Inspector Tom McClure said: "We are determined to crack down on individuals involved in the illegal supply of drugs and I would like to thank the local community for their continued support. Anyone with any information about the illegal use of drugs in their area should contact their local police station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

The man is being detained in police custody.

Police Seize Class A Drugs In Bangor
Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the seizure of suspected class A drugs in Bangor. Police searched a house in Victoria Road and a quantity of suspected class A drugs, worth an estimated street value of between £30,000 and £50,000, were recovered on Tuesday.

Man Arrested After Drugs Seized In Holywood
A man has been arrested after suspected cocaine, estimated to have a street value of between £60,000 and £80,000, was seized in Holywood, Co Down. Police stopped and searched a car in the Church Road area, near the A2, on Thursday afternoon. The car and two mobile phones were also seized.
