Lord Mayor Concerned Over Job Losses

The Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon has raised concerns following news that 75 jobs are to be lost in the Craigavon area.

He said: "This is a devastating blow for the local economy. At a time when the council is prioritising local job creation, this news is extremely disheartening.

"B&Q have vowed to redeploy staff where possible, but we will also be seeking support from the Department of Employment and Learning to help the affected people find suitable alternative employment."
