Medizar in Belfast, a specialist in hospital and clinical sanitiser products, has won significant business in the United Arab Emirates with assistance from Invest Northern Ireland.

Olive Hill, Invest NI’s Director of Trade said: "Medizar took part in an Invest NI visit to Arab Health in January of this year where it first made contact with a major Saudi Distributor. A further follow up visit took place this summer where they discussed terms of a distribution agreement for the region and were successful in securing a deal to supply products worth £250,000 over the next two years.

"Making the commitment and visiting the potential customer for a follow up visit was the key to converting the initial meeting into a firm contract and is a strong endorsement of the company’s desire to succeed.

"This is an excellent achievement for a small but dynamic Northern Ireland company and is an important development which will give Medizar a solid base for long term growth in one of the world's fastest developing markets."
