100 New Jobs Announced For Dublin

One hundred new jobs are to be created in Dublin by specialist recruitment firm Glassdoor.

Described as "the world's most transparent jobs and recruiting marketplace", the New York-based business, is launching it's ninth country-specific sites, glassdoor.ie.

Speaking from New York where he is leading an IDA Ireland investment mission Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD said: "At the heart of our Action Plan for Jobs is our ambition to make Ireland the internet capital of Europe, and over recent years we have managed to attract many of the most exciting companies on the internet to establish operations here. Today's announcement by Glassdoor that it is establishing an office in Dublin in the coming months and creating 100 jobs is another great step on this journey. I am delighted to welcome this major announcement and I wish Diarmuid and the team every success with this project."

Purepipe To Create Six New Jobs
Belfast-based Purepipe is investing £250,000 and creating six new jobs as part of plans to boost sales in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £45,000 towards its expansion which involves investing in new state-of-the-art specialised pipe manufacturing equipment needed to target new business.

TTM Announces 500 New Jobs
Fine Gael TD for Clare and Chairman of the Oireachtas Foreign Affairs Committee, Pat Breen, has said that the announcement of 500 new jobs by healthcare recruitment company TTM, is very good news for Clare. He said: "Clare based healthcare recruitment company TTM has announced the creation of 500 new jobs over the next five years.

Over 1,300 Jobs Announced In Ireland Last Week
Fine Gael Dublin South Central Deputy, Catherine Byrne, has said the fact that more than 1,300 jobs were announced in the last week is a strong signal that confidence in the Irish economy is growing and that the policies being adopted by Government are the right ones.
