Masked Men Rob Elderly Man's Home In Co Down

Four masked men have burgled a pensioner's home in Ballygowan, Co Down.

The incident happened at a property in the Drumreagh Road area at around 9.15pm on Wednesday.

The men, believed to have been armed with an unknown weapon, took a sum of money and made off in a vehicle in the direction of Kilcairn Road.

The victim, aged in his 80s, was not injured.

Detective Sergeant Reid said: "I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Bangor Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Renewed Appeal For Information In West Belfast Murder Investigation
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have renewed an appeal for information following the death of a man in west Belfast. A murder investigation was launched after a man was found seriously injured and unconscious in the Cupar Street area of the city on Wednesday evening, 6 March. The man passed away in hospital later that same night.

Police Appeal After Man Attacked In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The assault happened in the North Road area at around 3.30am on Sunday, 29 January. A gang of four or five men attacked the victim, aged 37. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as "serious".
