Man Charged Following Drugs Find

A man has been charged after police seized drugs, worth a street value of between £50,000-£75,000, in Co L'Derry.

Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were discovered during search in the High Street area in Draperstown on Wednesday.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession and cultivation of class B drugs with intent to supply.

He is due to appear in Londonderry Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Elderly Man Suffers Smoke Inhalation In Co Down Arson
A man aged in 90s was left in need of treatment for smoke inhalation after two arson attacks in Downpatrick. Police are probing a link between two deliberate ignitions in the Killough Walk and Vianstown Heights area of the town, less than a mile from each other, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Appeal For Information Following West Belfast Robbery
Police have issued an appeal for information following a report of an armed robbery at business premises at the Beechmount Avenue area of west Belfast this morning – Thursday 26th November. Making the appeal, Detective Inspector Keith Wilson said: "Shortly before 8:15am, it was reported that two masked men entered a shop in the area.

New £300m Support Package Approved By Executive
A new £300 million support package has been announced by Finance Minister, Conor Murphy. The Executive approved package includes over £200 million for businesses and £98 million of COVID-19 funding to support the most vulnerable. Further Details Announced Of High Street Voucher Scheme
Every person in Northern Ireland aged 18 and over will be eligible to apply for a pre-paid card worth £100 to spend in their local high street. Economy Minister Diane Dodds said the High Street Stimulus (HSS) scheme is designed to stimulate local businesses, including retail and hospitality sector outlets, following the pandemic.
