Thousands Of 'Target Dry' Jackets Stolen From East Belfast Warehouse

Police have launched an investigation after thousands of 'Target Dry' jackets were stolen from a warehouse in east Belfast.

The burglary happened at Alanbrook Park in the Castlereagh area between 13 and 16 November.

A number of cartons were taken containing jackets, fleeces and weatherproof suits.

Chief Inspector David Moore said: "While the police investigation is ongoing, we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or suspicious activity in the area over that weekend, particularly of any van or lorry movements in the area, or who may have been offered Target Dry branded clothing in suspicious circumstances, to contact police at Musgrave Station on the non-emergency number 101.

"Or, if you would prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Former City Centre Police Station To Become New 74-Bedroom Hotel
A former police station in Belfast city centre is to be redeveloped for a new 74-bedroom hotel. Belfast City Council's Planning Committee approved the development on Queen Street, along with granting Listed Building Consent to bring the building into use again.
