Woman Arrested Over Murder Of David Clarke

A woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of David Clarke in north Belfast in 2001.

The 33-year-old suspect has been detained at a police station in Belfast for questioning.

She was arrested in the greater Shankill area on Tuesday.

Mr Clarke, who had learning difficulties, was beaten in his flat on the Forthriver Road in the early hours of 06 June.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said: "I would continue to ask anyone with information to do the right thing and come forward with anything they know.

"They can call the police non-emergency number 101, or use the independent charity Crimestoppers, where information can be provided anonymously on 0800 555 111."

A man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of David Clarke in 2001. The 33-year-old suspect was arrested in the Bangor area on Thursday. Mr Clarke, 26, who had learning difficulties, was beaten to death at his flat in north Belfast on 06 June 2001.

Police have arrested a second man in connection with the murder of David Clarke in 2001. Mr Clarke, who had learning difficulties, was beaten in his flat on the Forthriver Road in the early hours of 06 June. The 32-year-old suspect was arrested in the Shankill area and is being detained at a police station in Belfast.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.
