Arlene Foster Likely To Be New DUP Leader

Finance Minister Arlene Foster is likely to be the first female DUP leader as she is the only declared candidate to replace the current leader Peter Robinson.

Mr Robinson recently announced he is to stand down on 11 January.

East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson confirmed he would not be running for leadership on Wednesday.

The mother of three said: "I am fully aware of the awesome challenge and indeed great responsibility that comes from being leader of the largest unionist party and indeed the largest party in Northern Ireland but I am very much looking forward to that prospect."
